Mind Body Shepherd

Hosted by Mary and Rachael
On this longest, light‑filled day of the year, our hope is that you’ll settle into the kind of presence that only nature can invite — the slow unfurling, the deep internal sigh that arrives when your body finally feels held. Rise & Renew by the Rappahannock is designed as a spacious, sensory day to reconnect with the natural world in a meaningful way: through breath, movement, stillness, and the quiet medicine of water and sky. We’ve created this retreat as a gentle return to yourself, a chance to soften the edges, listen inward, and let the river remind you what renewal feels like.
What your retreat includes…
Opening ceremony and mindful meditation walk by the waterfall
We’ll open with a gentle intention‑setting ceremony to ground, breathe, and name what you’re welcoming into the season. Then we’ll take a slow, mindful meditation walk to the waterfall, letting sound and nature guide you into deeper presence.
Yin Yang Yoga class and seasonal lunch
We’ll gather beneath shady trees for a seasonal yin–yang yoga practice that blends gentle activation with cooling stillness. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a nourishing summer‑inspired lunch designed to ground and refresh.
River swim and connect with community
Take time to slip into the river — or simply sit at its edge — letting the cool water and quiet flow soften your whole system. As we gather by the shoreline, you’ll connect with a circle of kind humans, sharing presence, laughter, and the simple joy of being together in nature.
